The Ante Medić Octet is an energetic, out-of-the-box experience created by a band that aims to push the boundaries of contemporary jazz.

This octet is a forward thinking collective that stretches the creative confines and avoids the comfort zone, aiming for uncharted musical territories. Their sound and presence fuses the electric energy of a power trio with the intricate harmonies of a horn quintet. Some of the group’s wide array of influences include artists like Maria Schneider, Frank Zappa, Jimi Hendrix and Aphex Twin.

After winning the Incentive Prize and the Best Soloist Award at the Keep An Eye Jazz Award, the Ante Medić Octet released two singles (ZenneZ Records) and will be releasing their debut album in 2025.

Welcome the "jonge honden" of the Dutch jazz scene!
